Red light is used to repair skin damage by energising cell regeneration. It may increase collagen production, which can improve elasticity and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and scars. For example its also used for sports injuries and sun damage. Blue light removes free radicals that oxidize and age your face.

What can I expect during the LED therapy treatment?

Comfortable, painless, no downtime.

LED phototherapy is the most comfortable treatment we offer. The treatment does not generate heat but a feeling of warmth is common due to the increase in blood circulation. You can continue with your schedule immediately after the session. Some individuals may experience mild redness or sensitivity immediately after the session, but these effects typically subside within a short period.

How long will it take for my skin to heal?

Most clients resume normal activities immediately after a clinical procedure. Expect around 5-7 days for full healing. There maybe some skin that peels away. Localised erythema (redness) may last up to 2 days post-procedure.

How long will it take to see the full results?

Results can last for several months following a course of Dermalux treatments subject to the indication. However, regular maintenance treatments are advised to extend results as part of an on-going skin health programme. Your skin therapist will be able to advise you.

How do i maintain the effect after all the sessions are complete?

The frequency of maintenance sessions can vary depending on individual needs, but typically we advise to have them every 6 weeks.
