You will find a knowledgeable, welcoming atmosphere at our small private Birmingham clinic. 369 Laser Clinics put customers first. We take a bespoke approach to each individual. We currently offer a consultation (see our prices for the fee) which takes about 30 mins where Barbara can make a detailed skin analysis, address your concerns and provide an accurate session plan to achieve the best results.
Laser Technology & Process
Triple Diode Laser With Cooling
The Diode Xenon XE Pro is highly respected in the industry as one of the most effective, fast and comfortable lasers for hair removal on all skin types. FDA approved laser that combines adaptive triple wavelength technology with optimum power output, it delivers exceptional results. The continuous cooling and optimum power ensures quick, comfortable treatments.
“Comfortable deep penetration to stop hair regrowth”
Special gel is first applied to the skin. Safety glasses are provided. The handheld laser is moved across the skin area. Triple wavelength lasers provide deep penetration and better removal. They are also effective on darker skin tones. The hair roots under the skin are targeted at stages of their growth cycles, damaging the bulb and preventing regrowth. Which is why a number of sessions are advised.

NHS Advice – Excessive Hair Growth
How the laser treatment works
Laser treatments are ideal for large areas of skin. The laser beam of light passes through the skin to the hair follicle (or root) to destroy it. People with light skin and dark hair usually achieve the best results but 369 uses triple wavelength combination laser which has particularly good results on darker skin.

Laser Treatment Frequency
Get the right number of sessions
Hairs grow in stages. Effective laser hair removal treatment destroys the root or follicle to stop regrowth at a specific stage. So 369 advise on a treatment plan which can be 6-8 sessions or more. The sessions are regularly spaced usually 4-6 weeks apart.
Bump free no ingrowing hairs
Since the hair root is destroyed in the Laser Hair removal process even curly hairs do not grow under the skin which can happen with shaving and waxing.
Aftercare
After sessions you should avoid exposure to UV light for 2 weeks, steam & sauna for 7 days, excessive scrubbing for 5 days and shaving for 2 days. For the first 48 hours avoid hot baths/showers, swimming, makeup, perfumed products or bleaching creams. Don’t scratch the area and no waxing, tweezing or threading.
Do use 50 SPF cream for 2 weeks. Use an ice pack if the skin area is irritated. Apply aloe vera or soothing cream. Keep the treated area clean and dry and stay hydrated.

Laser Hair Removal – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
General Questions
We usually advise 6-8 sessions.
Hairs are targeted during a specific growth phase. The Laser beam light passes through the skin to destroy the hair bulbs (follicles / roots) when they are in the active Anagen growth phase. For most people, roughly 10-20% of the hair in the treated area will be at the Anagen phase any time. Hair that is in the Catagen or Telogen phase of growth will not normally be affected by the laser treatment.
We usually recommend spacing your laser hair removal appointments every 4-6 weeks.
Laser hair removal targets hair roots and bulbs during a specific growth phase. We also consider skin condition and healing. Your 369 Laser therapist will make a personalised recommendation.
369 Laser Clinics use one of the newest Diode Lasers. Our Xenon XE Pro laser is FDA approved and uses the three laser wavelengths in a single applicator; Alexandrite 755nm, ND: YAG 1064nm and 808nm to provide the optimum hair reduction comfortably. It simultaneously targets different tissue depths within the hair follicle, increasing treatment efficiency.
The advanced cooling handpiece cools your skin during laser hair removal minimising heat generated by the laser and potential discomfort.
369 LC is able to treat any skin type, ranging from very fair to very dark.
The Xenon XE Pro laser has three most effective laser wavelengths and we have achieved exceptional results on darker skin where other lasers have struggled to produce satisfactory results.
Hair is reduced when applied to every skin type. Treatments are highly effective on medium to dark hair for any skin type. Blonde, red, white and gray hair are unlikely to see good results.
What skin type do you have? Find out on the Fitzpatrick scale below:
Type 1: always burns, never tans (pale, freckles).
Type 2: usually burns, minimal tanning.
Type 3: sometimes burns mildly, tans uniformly.
Type 4: burns minimally, always tans well (moderate brown).
Type 5: very rarely burns, tans very easily (dark brown).
Type 6: never burns (deeply pigmented dark brown to darkest brown).
See the NHS Fitzpatrick Skin Type Scale I – VI for a more indepth skin classification.
Laser hair removal isn’t usually permanent but may be long-lasting. Some clients see no hair grow back after a course of treatments although others may need annual touch-up treatments to keep unwanted hair at bay.
Around 5 – 15% hair reduction can be estimated 4-6 weeks after your first treatment. After each subsequent treatment, expect an additional 5-15% of hair to be reduced. 80%-90% hair reduction is expected after completing a course of treatments.
Laser hair removal does not hurt. Most clients explain the sensation as warmth and heat feeling this is due to our patented sapphire cooling system keeping your skin cool and comfortable during the treatment.
There’s no evidence to suggest that laser hair removal causes skin cancer (NHS website 2023).
Laser therapy for hair removal uses non-ionising radiation in the form of a concentrated light source that produces a very fine laser beam. It does not use the same ultraviolet (UV) wavelengths as those found in sunlight (i.e. UVA and UVB), which are known to damage the DNA in cells and cause skin cancer.
For the black underarm pigmentation, our solution involves hair removal for the underarms. As you go through the sessions, you’ll notice a reduction in pigmentation due to the minimisation of hair in that area.
Client Heath & Medication FAQ
Some medications can cause photosensitivity to the skin and this may impact the skin’s reaction to the treatment. These medications are but not limited to oral and topical acne treatment, antibiotics, and certain anti-depressants. Nevertheless, side effects are both more severe and more specific. The risks of Laser Hair Removal while on these types of medication may include. During enquiry / consultation we check against a full up to date list of medications.
- Phototoxic reactions: hyperpigmentation resembling extreme sunburn.
- Photoallergic reactions: both more serious and less common than a phototoxic reaction, patients will experience more permanent side effects as molecular changes cause the immune system to attack the drug as it would a risky foreign body.
It is best to speak with your medical professional and obtain medical approval. After obtaining medical approval, we are able to test patch you with the laser to determine it is safe to commence treatment.
